I have been neglecting my posting duties, but thankfully Sharon has kept things active discussing the fun days on the road with no water.
We left Winnipeg and drove and drove and drove, we hit 3000 and then 4000 and now 5000 km on the trip.  Northern Ontario is BIG!  We wanted to spend the night in Lake of the Woods, but found the provincial parks were closed already.  It was a beautiful drive and we pushed on driving to almost Thunder Bay.  We then spent the morning and part of the afternoon in Thunder Bay and found the art building on the water.  Could have spend another day as I found a lot of cool stuff to photograph, like old waterfront terminals.  Instead we drove to Pukaskwa National Park to camp overnight.  Note that Pukaskwa has already closed up the showers, bathrooms and turned off all their water taps for the season.  This was the start of the meltdown...take it all in strides...I discovered the low point water valve was leaking, as we were driving, I didn't think it was a huge issue, but we continued on and started up the water pump when we got to camp.  Only to watch the valve fall off and the water pour out as soon as any water pressure from the water pump was applied.  Oops no water...luckily there was a composting toilet in the park.
Around Lake Superior was very beautiful, with micro climates and shorelines that look like tropical islands.  We said more than once as we crested a hill and wound our way down to the water, "This could be Hawaii"  with the lush green, blue skies and aqua water colours.
Pukaskwa was an amazing park, with the only access to the massive wild park at the campground.  There were amazing hiking trails, I hiked the south headlands trail in the morning and enjoyed all the rugged coast, not unlike Vancouver Island.  We then headed for Massey Ont to visit Tami and Marvin.  We made a number of stops along the way and pulled into their driveway around 9pm.  We relaxed on Monday and toured around the Chutes Provincial park, which is literally out their back door.
Now onto London Ontario, I found an Airstream Dealer to fix our water valve in London and we will stay with friends Eric and Leslie, which will be awesome to see them.  I am excited to take the Chi-Cheemaun ferry ac
ross to the Bruce Peninsula where we will spend one night...looks like they have running water and then should be a short drive to London for Thursday Repairs.
