PEI - Great but Closed for the season!

PEI was very nice, but definitely a summer Island.  Lots of great beaches and squeaky sand.  We loved the little Island but almost nothing is open, couldn't even find a spot for lunch.  We were lucky that our old family friends the MacKinnon's lets us park at their cottage on the Eastern tip of the Island.  We had everything we needed, most importantly electricity for 3 nights.
My favourite image from PEI - tending the Mussels

Definitely a place to come back to in the summer...I can imagine the MacKinnon's would be a great place to spend a month each summer.

We may end up boondocking in Walmart tonight since the Fundy National Park is closed now too!  Southward bound we are going now.  Florida or Bust next!!

Love this old Lighthouse in the late afternoon sky
