Tuesday Thoughts...

TUESDAY THOUGHTS:

What I Think I May Know For Sure...

"The best part of life is when your family becomes your friends and your friends become your family"

What a Wowzer of a last five days, from catching up with my "sister from another mother" the one and only Lesley Milner and her hubby Eric in London (in their new "at home" resort), to spending time with my brother Brian and his family in The Hammer, back to London, then to Jokeville to see Mutt & Jeff and ending up in The County for Thanksgiving.  We could not have timed it all better if we had pre-planned it for months on end! We are one with the road, simply going where it leads us, and it led us to family this Thanksgiving week-end!

A big thanks to all our Family & Friends that took the time out of their day to join us for a thanksgiving toast and support our little "last minute" travelling exhibit yesterday. So much fun catching up with everyone, best Thanksgiving ever. And to think we thought we would be romping around  in the Fall leaves of the Gatineau Hills (at the foot of the Laurentian Mountains) on the long week-end, grateful for the airstream breakdowns along side roads that held us back.

What started out three weeks ago (on a whim) as a trip of a lifetime to see all of North America has transitioned into more of a pilgrimage of the soul, seeing loved ones across the country.  It has hit home how truly it is the people that make the place. While we have seen some  beautiful parts of the country thus far, and have been blessed to witness some awesome natural wonders (check out JDog's Aurora Borealis shots in previous posts) what has made our hearts sing the loudest is the support and love of our tribe scattered throughout this country. As we progress on this journey, we do keep adding more and more people to our tribe, and realize it is the human spirit of friendship that has become our inspiration versus the lands we came to photograph.

Friendships are so weird & wonderful, you just pick humans you've met and you're like "yep, I like these ones" and you just do stuff with them and keep in touch and do more stuff with them, always picking up where ya left off no matter how much time has gone by! How friggin' magical is that...

Friendships, both old and unexpected new, JDog & I are extremely grateful for.  We would love to hear what you are grateful for and have given thanks for this thanksgiving week-end..

I see a photograph book on gratitude in the making...

Peace Out
