TUESDAY THOUGHTS:
What I Think I May Know For Sure...
"Our happiest moments as travellers always seem to come when we stumble upon one thing while in pursuit of something else" -Lawrence Black
When a three hour drive around the Cabot Trail ends up becoming 3 nights and 4 days, you know you've hit upon something extraordinary. So extraordinary, we could not tear ourselves away from the 186 miles of rugged coast line along the Atlantic Ocean (with non-stop mountain views filled with autumn leaves doing their last dance of the season).
Beauty of adventuring with no schedule is some of the best finds you simply stumble across (where least expected).  With no timeline when travelling, you have the luxury to stay as long as you want (if your soul has found a place that sets you on fire). Never thought in my wildest dreams the hidden hiking trails and roads winding throughout this part of Cape Breton Island would be a mixture of Tofino, Big Sur and Gatineau Hills topped off with the thrill of the narrow windy mountain dirt roads and people charm of Northern Italy.
Trekking in the foggy misty trails, watching ocean sunsets (of Hawaii quality) and discovering tucked away Cabin Cafes and pubs housing Celtic & Acadian characters straight out of fairy tales (ask me about the "sew-inclined" hat lady, Alice In Wonderland on steroids and the mad fiddler in a hidden away pub) on the Cabot Trail was an adventure all unto itself, netting in some of our best creative work thus far.

Beautiful blog and photos!
