"Today...and every day...we are grateful for our military service personnel, past and present, and the families that support them."
Wow, today and EVERYDAY!!!
We took a few moments remembering all who served our country, those no longer with us, and those still with us. But it was only a few moments on November 11th...rather lame in the overall picture of our freedom!!!
Which leads me to Tuesday Thoughts and what I truly know for sure this week (not "what I think I may know for sure")...

Blessed  to have "The Bestest" Fly Boy of a Dad (Air Force Veteran) still here with us. Throughout our travels these past few months, amazed at all the chance encounters we have had with Fly Boys, each knowing my Dad from his RCAF years. One encounter was in MooseJaw Saskatchewan with an 87 year old Air Force gentleman who was making the journey (solo) by car from Vancouver Island to Trenton, Ontario for what he called his "last reunion with the remaining boys ". As some could not make the journey due to age, he was stopping off in their towns enroute to say his hellos and final good byes.  It was hard to tear ourselves away from this Canadian hero with all his stories.
It did make me realize how important it is to say all we have to say to friends and family in these living years. And to my veteran Hero, my father (Fast Eddie), I say a big thank you for being you and the life groundings you gave us!

"Fast Eddie" taught us to reach for the stars, with all our fun times romping around the world as he served his country, he gave us all the best education any child could ever ask for, travel!!!  He led by example and taught each of us kids to only do in life that which we have passion for, explore that which gives us a buzz. “Do what you do for pure joy and you’ll never work a day in your life” was and still is his philosophy. He continues to remind us weekly to "keep the Main Thing the Main Thing".  Great to see his mentality now going down another generation into his grandchildren. His three eldest a true testament: Jessica off on her own glorious exotic adventure doing that which sets her on fire, you go girl!!!  Sammy lighting the world a blaze with his tech savvy wizard ways, with teachers in University handing the classroom floor over to him to teach (only kid I have known to be raking in his own money at ten years of age through his own internet channels). Zachy Whacky as he finds his way through this world, loving his honesty as he starts to pinpoint his passions (a natural born leader and influencer, suspect we'll see him in a leadership capacity down the road). My father, their grandfather, a guiding light to all nine of his grandchildren.
The four of us kids are blessed to be able to call "Fast Eddie" our father.  All of us; his children, grandchildren, our spouses and friends that now call him "Dad" simply adore this wild & crazy (in a good way) Man of Honour (even the little kid next door bringing pies over every Nov 11th telling Fast Eddie what an amazing hero he is), we all love you tons Dad!  We celebrate you on Remembrance Day (along with other veterans), and on every other day, let us not forget our heros!
